I am searching info on Maximillian Seitz, born 12 Oct 1825 in Bavaria, GE. Emigrated to US in 1838. Married 18 Nove 1851 in Mercer County, Ohio. Died 17 Nov 1869. Buried in St. Johns cemetery, Maria Stein, Mercer County, Ohio. He married Anna Maria Fecher who was born 26 Mar 1828 in Nuenenkirche, GE and died 02 May 1869 and is buried also in St. John cemetery. Max Seitz is described in great detail in the book "Ancestral Portraits of Ohio Settlers, 1980, Con J. Fecher". His father is believed to be Matthias Seitz born about 1794 in Bavaria, GE. Max is believed to have 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Melchior and Franz Joseph are names of 2 of the brothers. Melchior was married in Maria Stein. That is all that I know. I do know that Max had a daughter Maria Mathilda Seitz who was born 5 Oct 1853 in Chickasaw, Mercer County, OH. She died during childbirth on 22 Feb 1888 and is also buried in St. John cemetery. She was married to Franz Kremer (my great-great grandpa). Please e-mail me with any info on Max's siblings or parents.
