John E. Sentell married Miss Isabella M. McRae of McRae, Georgia in Telfair County, Georgia 12th of January 1854 by the Rev. C. J. Shelton. I believe John E. has been listed as a child of Martin Thomas Sentell incorrectly. The Rev. John E. Sentell served as executor for his father's will Briton/Britain Sentell in 1857. James Sentell has posted on this forum information from the Carroll County, Georgia Probate Judges office. John E. Sentell and William W. Sentell (son of brother Nathan) were first cousins. William W. Sentell attended the church in Sandy Springs where the widow of Briton/Britain Sentell attended. Martin Thomas Sentell had a son named John Edward Sentell, but I have not found any information on him. I hope others who are interested in these families will add whatever information they might have on these families. The brothers and sisters were: William Sentell, born 18 Sept 1783 Nathan Sentell, born 18 Jan 1785 Elizabeth Sentell, born 1 March 1787 Samuel Sentell, Jr., born 7 Jan 1791 John Sentell, born 6 March 1793 Sarah Sentell, born 16 Sept 1795 Briton/(Britan, Britain) Sentell, born 27 Jan. 1797 Hetty (Hettie) Louisa Sentell, born 13 Mar. 1801 (my ancestor) Martin Thomas Sentell, born 27 Feb 1803 Nancy Sentell, born 3 march 1806 When Briton/Britain Sentell died he was buried in what was known as the Sentell Family Cemetery, according to information found in the papers of Mr. Franklin Garrett, stored at the Atlanta Historical Society. Mr. Garrett added information taken from files (Emory University File and references from Southern Christian Advocate, July 23, 1863 - Dec. 21, 1865 Inclusive and the Entire Year 1867 and June 1 - Aug 9, 1871. (A copy of Mr. Garrett's work is also at the Cobb County Library, Roswell Road, Marietta, Georgia) Notify Administrator about this message?
