Presently I research CARDIN / CARDEN lines in SC and NC who came to AL. Some of them are connected to the SENTELLE's.
Since I live in AL, I may be able to do something to help you here. It would probably involve me taking a day-trip to Pickens Co. for you, but that could be arranged for a minimal fee covering gas for travel, copying documents, & lunch for me and a competent research helper. Both of us are members in good standing of DAR & CDVII.
Pickens, Greene, Marengo & Perry are all counties (near each other) in western AL which were there early on (by, or before 1819), and where I've found some family ties.
It would also help if I knew, in general, when and where in NC your SENTELL(E)'s originate before they move to SC; and possibly the date(year) for that move ?
