after the death of my father, in cleaning the house i found a small, old book, handwritten, with family information. it is my paternal grandmother's family. she was from the henderson/ transylvania county area of western north carolina.
the first name in the book is william center, it goes on to say that the name was changed from cener to sentell in 1807.
william center born in Egdyefield S.C 1755. served 7 years in the revoluntionary war. married Elizabeth Stevens. m. 1788.

Richard Sentell
James Sentell
Parmelia (Barnett)
i have no idea who wrote the book, or if it is accurate.
does anyone recognize any of these names?
