Neil,

thanks for the reply.

I'm interested in knowing what the current state of play is. The bits and pieces on this forum and on the clansommerville website aren't enough to give me a real feel for the level of interest. I get the impression that the farmer, on whose land the castle lies, has contributed to the forum in thpast, but I can't find the relevant message. It seemed from his contribution that he was keen to progress some form of restoration and that his sypathies would be with any formal group of ACTIVE associates with a similar interest.

There was also allusion to previous research by someone to identify likely sources of assistance for such a project, but, again, that's not been followed up in later postings (that I could find).

I'll have to spend some time digging through all the postings here and see what else may have been happening since 1999.

If there have been any meetings of interested parties I'd appreciate some sort of update on any progress. If there haven't been any meetings yet, I'd be interested in attending any which may be planned.

Regards

Jim
