Hi my name is Scott Logan and I live in NYC,NY USA.I am a great great great grandson of Alexander Somervile who was born approx 1828 in Scotland and died between 1881-1891 in Everton England.I think Alexander was an independant minister. He married a woman by the name of Margaret and immigrated to England. It appears he settled in a town called Phorley. They had 4 children : William A,Janet,Margaret & James L.I am descended from the William A line.William A Somerville married a woman by the name of Lydia Donohue and they settled in Everton,Lancashire England. They had 6 children I believe Alexander,Peter,William H,George,Lydia and another son and daughter whose names I cannot make out on the census records.:) Lydia married a man by the name of Moore and immigrated to Fort Worth Texas she may have died childless in 1967 but I am not sure.I am descended from William H Somerville who married a woman by the name of Jane Powell in 1901.They had 2 daughters Mildred & Linda. As a result the Somerville name died on my side :( I am looking for 2 bits of info. 1) Did any of my great grandfather's (William H Somerville) siblings (Peter,George,Alexander) marry and have children and if so are their desendants living in England today??I would love to contact them.Perhaps some still live in Everton Lancashire. The second thing I want to find out is what part of Scotland my great great great grandfather Alexander Somerville came from.If any of this sounds familiar to you email me!Thanks,Scott
