Rebecca Black married Preston Spann and had four children - three girls and a boy ... Preson Spann died before 1870. Rebecca Black Spann Hayes married Washington H. Hayes (son of Ned and Elizabeth Hayes of Rutherford County, TN) around 1879 in Montgomery County .. She and her daughters evidenly were ,,, uh ,,, "loose" ... At least that is what Wash Hayes claims when he filed for divorce in Dickson County (where they had moved) in Nov 1884 - it was granted ... They remarried in Feb 1885 after patching up their differences (allow me some authors' imagination here) ... Well, old Wash took up with another woman so Rebecca claims when she filed for divorce Mar 1887 in Dickson County - It was granted ... She married Champion L. Hayes (a first cousin of Wash Hayes) Sep 1887 .... The two grandchildren of Rebecca Black Spann Hayes Hayes Hayes were the offspring of one of her daughters who if you recall - Wash claimed were ,,, uh ,,, "loose" ... More than likely their mother was oldest daughter of Preston and Rebecca Black named Eliza who was born circa 1867 - 68.
