Hello Ros,
Many thanks for your reply. After peicing together the information supplied by yourself and another member I am getting a better look at the family.
Originally I had the 1901 census documents but the names didn't match my mums recollections, although she was only 10 when her mum (Ivy Dorothy) died and contact with the Stevens family dwindled out over the next few years.
Its now become clear that what I thought were 2 seperate familys, those born 1875 - 1880 and those born 1885 - 1901 are indeed one family. It was also puzzling that we knew some family members by different christian names than on the census. For exapmle mum knew "Lucy 1899" as her aunt Minnie, "Florence 1896" she knew as Auntie Gladys and we are assuming "Elizabeth 1891" was Aunt Edie.
You wondered if we were related, what line of the Stevens family do you relate to?
