I am a 42 year old female researching my long lost birth mother. My mother gave birth to me in the town of Revelstoke. At the time my biological father did not come with her. My birth mother, then age 21, moved to Revelstoke in late 1963 to early 1964 with her, 1.5 year old son, and her grandmother. My mother worked in one of the only cafe/restaurants in town in 1963/64. I was told that my father was from South Africa. There was even talk that my father may have been a migrant entertainer. I was born in Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke. Then lived with a nurse whom worked at Queen Victoria hospital, and her four children for approximately 4 months and then was adopted by a Chilliwack couple. I may have had a staff infection when I was born. And my adoptive parents were asked to keep a close watch for a lazy eye. The only detail I am aware of about my mother was that she wished that I was raised as a Protestant. My mother was likely blonde and short in a stature based on my appearance. The reason I am telling you this is that I am hoping you may have some hint as to whom it may or may not be .. or if you have any resources into the revelstoke hospital. or have heard of adoptions in the early 60's then are close to this story.. I would appreciate any help you could give me.. The subsequent adoption then went through the welfare office.. There is very good evidence that my mothers married name was Street..
