Is any one familiar with the family of Simpson, Mary A, James R, Rufus M, Amos F. and Angenett E P Street. The father, Simpson was born in Tennessee in 1830. Mary was born in 1835. They lived in Mississippi where the kids were born. I am looking into the possibility that Simpson died and Mary A married a McCarthy and moved to Harris, Texas, in the Houston area. If true, Angenett (Annie) would have married a Charles Robinson and then a John Lewis. I found Mary McCarthy (mother of Annie who I am researching) in Texas who had two kids still living with her, Rufus and James R. Their last name is listed as Stat. I cannot find any family members listed in any other census records with that name. It's a stretch, but I found the Streets family living in Mississippi in 1860. The kids names (except Amos) and birthplace all match. The year born is almost the same for all of them too. I found a Rufus Stret in a 1920 census record in Texas. Someone had corrected the name to Street. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is anyone familiar with the Street family? Mary A Street's maiden name was Thrasher.
