Hi Mary, Let me help you out a bit more. I had more than I realized because the info hasn't yet made it to the computer. I'm not certain what brick walls you have hit, so I will throw alot out to you. Quasebarth is a name from the Brandenburg area of Germany and also common to Poland. As for Emil, he was known as "Paul Howard" and for Julia she was known as "Junie" or "Jennie". When I double ckecked my chicken scratch I came up with 8 children: 1) Ida W b. 1905 md Herman Honagger 2) Louis F "Jack" b. 16 Aug 1906 d. Aug 1967 md Mary Lee had 1 ch Shirley Ann (12 Nov 1935-9 Jul 1991) possibly others. 3) Leon Richard b. 2 Jul 1908 d. 14 Mar 1942 md Mary Ealey b. 30 Jun 1916, who married 1st Paul Rosenberg and had a daughter Donna Roseberg. Leon had 3 ch Richard 12 Feb 1937, Ronald Feb 1939 and Karen Nov 1941 "Leon R. Quasebarth was 33 years old when he died in an accident at Caterpillar Tractor Company in 1941. He was a maintenance electrician when he died from an eight foot fall from a platform while at work. He was survived by his widow Myrtle, two sons Richard and Donald, and two daughters, Donna and Karin, all of Peoria, Illinois. Funeral services were conducted by Wilton Mortuary. Info from Peoria Newspaper." 4) Howard b. 1911 5) Wilbur P b. 28 Jun 1913 d. May 1974 md Mary Anna Hufnagel 6) Donald B 4 May 1918- Oct 1971 7) John L 12 Jan 1922-11 Oct 1996 8) Edwin E(mil?)b. c1925 I'm not sure any of this will help you out any. But I figured having twice was better than not having it at all! I do not have the origins of Emil but imagine he is a first or second generation American. I often try to find the origins of the people the Stricklers marry because families often moved together and finding the origins of one might lead to the other. This is not the case with this family. If I can be of further help or you discover additional details you would like to share feel free to contact me again. It might be better to use my standard e-mail duffworks@hotmail.com. Thanks and have a great day! Notify Administrator about this message?
