Roy Strickler m Bertha B Sease Fayette Co Pa

Roy Strickler, son of George
W Strickler and Margaret S
Cochran left a huge paper trail.
(See the George Strickler Fayette
Co Pa posting on this website.)
Bertha B Sease, his wife did NOT
leave much genealogical information,
however.
-----------------------------------
Roy Strickler, born 29May1885, is
on the 1910, 1920 Census. He also
registered for both WW1 AND WW2 drafts!
He appears to have died in Fayette
Co Pa in Dec1983 (try rootsweb SSDI).
Roy seems to have moved to Musselshell
Co Montana, perhaps close to his
brother Walter who had a homestead
claim there. (From John W Jordan, 1912
"Gen. and Personal Hist. Fayette Co Pa")
----------------------------------------
Bertha B Sease may have died after
the 1920 Census. Roy Strickler
is back in Fayette Co Pa for his
WW2 Draft Registration, where he
lists Irene Whitehead as "next of
kin". Irene is a resident of Dawson Pa
at that time. What happened to Bertha
B Sease- death or divorce? Where
was Bertha B Sease from and who
were HER ancestors? The 1910 and 1920
census would put her born about 1883.
Irene Whitehead's death certificate
or SSDI might list "mother's
birthplace". Irene Whitehead
may have died in Connellsville, Fayette
Pa in December 1985. (See Rootsweb SSDI)
--------------------------------------
I post this as a Sease researcher,
looking if perhaps the Stricklers
have more on Bertha B Sease than
what is casually available from
the Census. Am happy to share.
Please let us hear from you.
