Hey Frank -- Here's what I know about Michael Rhodes(Roads):
Michael was born May 1,1749 in Virginia; married Nancy Ann Strickler (dau of Benjamin) March 26, 1782; died October 11,1819 in Woodstock, Va.; buried in Rickard Cemetery, Fishers Hill (I found this listing for Michael last night. Michael was private in the Virginia Infantry in the Revolutionary War. (This is indicated in the cemetery information and I have a copy of his pension request which is in the National Archives. I also have the following information found in the DAR Lineage Book, vol. 157, p298 and vol.146, p164. Michael was one of the survivors of Indian Massacre in 1764 and was help captive for several years. Children: John, b. 1783 ml. Crabill; m2. Saum, 8 children; David, b.1784 m. Elizabeth Bauserman; Maria(also known as Mary), b.1786 m. John Crabill (my ancestors);Michael, b.l788 m. Sarah Crabill; Anna, b.1790, single; Daniel, b.1792 m. Susannah Wisman; Abraham, b.1789 m. Crabill; Rebecca Roads, b.1792 m. Peter Hockman; Barbara, b.1796. Michael lived near the mouth of Toms Brook, Virginia. This is about it right now! Thanks for the information you have sent me. Geri
