Hi Frank,

I am not a descendant of the Strickler Family. My Pa's line is Boid or Boyd going back to Scotland & Northern Ireland. I have them in U.S. before Rev. War. (My Great, Great, Great Grandfather John Boyd was in war). My line married Roberts, Epperson, Lewis(they came from Wales in 1682, to PA, then OH, then IN). The Boyd line has married into Teague, Hiatt, McClure, Dudley, Passmore, Turley, Beeson, Swaim, Timberlake - to name a few.

When I saw Parke Co - a flag went up(My Pa, and Grandfather were born in Rockville, Parke Co, IN).

I wanted to know more about the Strickler Family, and if it would help in my research.

I appreciate all the info on The Strickler Springs Cemetery. When I called the library in Rockbridge Co, VA; she knew nothing about cemetery. That info came from a Roots Web site:(Williams/Snider/Sewell/Royer/McDaniel Families). I don't take all the info from sites as gospel, there is so much wrong info out there. That's why I called the library.

The condition of cemeteries is TERRIBLE. if you send me an address, I would more than happy to send you a contribution for The Strickler Springs Cemetery.

Again, Frank - Thanks for all the info on the cemetery - maybe it also will help someone else.

Caroline
