Lucille just published her family history and genealogical book, The Family of Chester Allen Perkins and Ora Lee Johnson. She wades fearlessly into the maize of Perkins in Louisiana and is the first researcher/writer to bring the Droddy and Strother clans into the big picture. Lucille's mother, Ora Lee Johnson, is the granddaughter of Winna Droddy and William "Red" Strother. Lucille is a simple woman of great faith. This book is a testament of love to her mother and father, her grandparents, and all of our ancestors. It is also a gift of love to her children, grandchildren, and her many neices and nephews. There will be no skipped generation of memories here. If you're interested in getting a copy of Lucille's book, leave word here and she can send you an email with the particulars. Family history and genealogy is a lot like a patch-work quilt with each of us having a small piece of the fabric. The success of the quilt lies in having enough of the pieces sewn together to make a warm cover. Lucille has just given us some very nice pieces. Congratulations, Lucille. My part of the family blesses you and thanks you for this wonderful effort of yours. Notify Administrator about this message?
