Gina,
I assume you are asking about the John Strother, who died in Hancock county, Georgia, in 1796. I have researched extensively the identity of John's parents. My conclusion is that John is the son of Francis Strother and Elizabeth Fossaker. My research was published in the article "Three John Strother: But Which One Died in Georgia," which was appears in the September 1998 issue of the "National Genealogical Quarterly." I have a copy of that article, if you need one.
