Colorful character and mentioned in the memorial as he had escaped Cuidad Vllas Jail in Mexico and recaptured 2days later. He and Harry Roberts filed claims as they suffered cruel and harsh treatment back in 1923. Listed in the Government Claims Commission library under 1928. Rumor they we running guns from ElPasco TX into Mexico. Just wondered if anybody out there remembers hearing anything. As Russell Strother in my grandfather and was likked in 1948 Beaumont TX.
