John Tyler, son of Henry Tyler & Alice Strother Posted by: Larry Strawther (ID *****7147) Date: April 10, 2007 at 22:58:43 In Reply to: Mistake? by John Tyler of 1524 Pretty much every source I've read over the past 25 years says that John Tyler (c1743-1817), son of Henry and Alice (Strother) Tyler (clerk of Stafford County) and father of President John Tyler, married Mary Marot Armistead and they settled at Greenway in Charles City County, VA. This is where Pres. John Tyler was born. Jeremiah Strother, son of Jeremiah Strother (son of Wm. Strother, Immigrant) married Eleanor (Kennerly, I believe) and they are the ones who have the most decendants in South Carolina. Notify Administrator about this message? Followups: Re: Mistake? Gov.
