My great-great-grandfather was Samuel C. Sullivan from Cannon Co TN. I believe that he had a brother who was in the 1850 Census of Cannon Co named John R. Sullivan born in North Carolina, 41 and a carpenter. Think they also had a brother names James Sullivan also in the 1850 Census. I don't know their father's name. James had a son named Samuel C. Sullivan and John R. Sullivan had a son named Benjamin Franklin Sullivan (name of my grandfather also). My grandmother was Leola Sullivan who married Marion Nelson Mullins.
