I'm looking for information on John Alexander Sutherland (b: 1854) probably in Pictou, NS. He married Christy Ann Bannerman (b: 1854) in NS and then moved out west. I know they were in Northern Ontario and then in Winnipeg. Christy Ann's parents were Roderick Bannerman and Margaret Ross and she had the following siblings: Joanna (b: 1844), Gordon (b: 1846), Hugh (b: 1848), Donald (b. 1852), Malcolm (1856), and Margaret (b: 1861). John and Christy had several children: Alexander, Beatrice, Ethel, Hughine, Jemima, Margaret, William John, Rhoda, Lulu, and Kenneth Arnold. Frankly, I'm guessing that the Chirsty Ann is a Bannerman. The Bannerman Chirsty Ann and my gg-grandmother share the same birthday and come from Pictou so chances are it is the same person. Any help on any of the Sutherlands or Bannermans would be welcome. Thanks.
