Hi there, Hey cuz. It is clearly the same bunch of people here. My grandfather was William John Sutherland. I would be very interested the materials you have. I've just begun the search. I found out about the Bannermans through the Barney's river birth and baptism records hosted by the Family roots of Pictou and Antigonish website. Christy Ann's name is spelled in a variety of way in various census' I've found. I'm still trying to track down some the Bannerman line. As far as the Sutherland's go, I have John and Christy Ann in Westville, NS in the 1881 census and in Savanne Township, Algoma district (Ontario) in the 1891 census and, if I recall, Margaret is listed in both of them and I think she may be older than your Jemima. I haven't managed to find any record of John and Christy Ann getting married or who John's parents were. I don't know a whole lot about the family but I've tracked down the WW1 records of William John and Kenneth Arnold. Family lore has it that Arnold is buried in Arlington Cemetary as he joined the US military after WW1.
