I am looking for information on:
James Sutherland (ggg grandfather) m. Elizabeth Calder(b. Dec.15, 1813) both James and Elizabeth were identified as half-breed by their son William Richard.
Thus far this info is all supported by documentation. I am very interested in finding the date of birth and death of James and also his parents - some thought they were James Sutherland and Marion Polson but this is negated by the fact that William in his sworn affidavit for metis scrip has his father as being metis.
William Richard Sutherland (gg grandfather)m. Margaret Inkster (daughter of John Inkster and Mary Sinclair - she was the daughter of William Sinclair and Nahovway Holden-Norton) - his mother (Elizabeth Calder) living with them in 1901 census.
George Thomas Sutherland (g grandfather)m. Annie Leask (listed in Selkirk census)
Thomas Herbert Sutherland (grandfather) m. Nellie Maddigan - TH is in the 1901 census living in Selkirk. - He subsequently relocated to Southern Saskatchewan
Lloyd Sutherland (my father)m. Olga Kuffner
