H.C. Swift, died 1867, Brazos County, Texas

I am not related to the Swifts, but in researching the history of yellow fever in the town of Brazos County, I ran across a person whom I cannot identify.

Can anyone provide additional information on the H.C. Swift mentioned below?

Bryan ... No cases of yellow fever have occurred at Bryan since the 5th of October. The following are deaths from fever previous to that time: H.C. Swift, Ben Hubert, D. Sanger, J. Sanger, Miss Ella Yates. Galveston Daily News, 24 October 1867, page 2

No tombstone for H.C. Swift in Brazos County was found when the local genealogy group surveyed all the county cemeteries in the 1980s.

Any help would be appreciated.

Bryan, Texas
