You could try the following lineage:

Bryan Swyfte born c1300 County Durham
Sir Humphrey Swyfte born c 1330 County Durham
John Swyfte born c1365 m Marie Hedworth
Edmond Swyfte born c1395 m Margaret Trollope
Anthony Swyfte born c1420 m ? Surtees Allergill Yorks
Robert Swyfte born c1445 m ? Hansarde Allergill Yorks
Thomas Swyfte born c1470 Allergill, Durham & Rotherham Yorks
Henry Swifte born c1509 m Elizabeth ? Sheffield England
Thomas Swift c1535 - c1592 m Margaret Godwin Canterbury Kent
The family starts to have lots of children from now onand they spread around a lot.
I have only got the main line until today.
It seems reasonable to assume that the person you are researching is either a descendant via another child of Henry Swyfte of Sheffield or of a Swift that went back later.
