The Summer 2007, Catalog XIV,of Austin T. Miller American Antiques, Inc.,(www. usfolkart.com) as item 5 pictures a portrait, c. 1824, of a c. 7-year-old Frances Elizabeth Chase (b.1817, Rockingham, Windham Co., VT-d. 1903). In 1841 she married George Washington Swift (1819-1894), after which the family lived in Falmouth, Massachusetts. This fine portrait should be made known to the Chase and Swift families. I am scanning it in case any of the descendants might like a copy, either by email or by postal mail. Someone in the families ought to have it--it is too good to be missed by the families. It may not have extensive genealogy value, but it certainly does have a whole lot of family, historic, and folk art value. My email address can be found by clicking on my underlined name above. Please respond by emailing me directly and not by posting a reply on this genforum site, which I might not see. If it were a portrait of a Pease family member, I'd certainly want someone to do the same for me. Bill Pease, Lancaster, PA Notify Administrator about this message?
