SANDERS OF TN-AL
SEARCHING FOR MY FAMILY
My grandfather, CECIL SANDERS was born abt. 1903 in or around Tracy City, Marion, TN.
He is buried in the Stanley Cemetery @ Longs Fork in Clintwood, Virginia next to his wife & my grandmother of Wise VA, ALMA DIXON Sanders. I have a photo of his headstone, which lists his birth year as 1903. My mother’s birth certificate also confirms his <1903> TN birth.
According to family legend, he was born to William Lafayette & Margie Sanders. They may have resided in or around Trafford or Warrior Alabama in Jefferson County AL. Other children of Wm & Margie were Hatton, John, Jack, Raymond & one daughter Elsie.
Other than SSDI records showing Jefferson County AL Death Residences for an Elsie & Hatton Sanders, (whom may or may not be connected) I have been unable to find any records at all on this family. I know for a fact that my grandfather existed, but cannot locate him or his folks.
Hope someone out there can help.
