This "Tennessee Tidbits"... is this one of the volumes I see for sale from heritage Books? By Harris & Burns? Which volume? pages? Does it name the persons receiving allotments in the division of slaves? The number of heirs? Your summary of the information shows that this was an administration, and thus no will (or it could have been an administration with the will annexed).
If Matthew died owning and possessing real estate, there should be a deed by the heirs conveying their interests in the land either to one of their own or a non-family purchaser.
