Mike, since things don't always go in a straight line, it is possible that not all obituaries were included in "Crossing the Dark River". It seems like Brenda Fiddler mentioned that not every obituary was in CDR in a letter to me. Sometimes it was only one sentence that announced the death in "The Lexington Progress". The fact that you can go to Everett Horn Library is lucky for you. It also has microfilms of "Lexington Republican" and other newspapers of Lexington, the Library staff should be able to help you with locating those. As I recall, there is a volunteer in the Tennessee Room on Mondays. Then there is always a chance a death annoucnement appeared in "Decaturville/Decatur County Herald" of Decatur Co. TN. What you may not know is that Mrs. Hettie Miller, who owned and operated "The Herald" for many years, married first the brother of W.V. Barry. Mrs. Miller's first husband started "The Herald", actually it might have been his Uncle without checking the paper's history. W.V. Barry was owner and editor of "The Lexington Progress." Mrs. Miller would publish death announcements, marriages, other items from Henderson Co. TN off and on. W.V. Barry first lived in Decatur County, too. Did you check all the online Miscellany by Jonanthan Smith, he has some deaths in those. Visit: http://www.tngenweb.org/records/henderson/ There is an index at the bottom of each of the Miscellany items, however, I found some of the pages in each index did not match up. Good luck.
