Calvin Johnson, b. 1868 in Hickman Co., Tn., married Nora Brumley. They moved to Jackson Co., Arkansas, and had a large family, then divorced. Nora remarried a man by the name of Hayslip. She died in Jackson Co., AR., in 1954, and is buried in Remmel, AR. She had a daughter named Myrtle Johnson who married Felix Brumley. Myrtle said he was her cousin.
Nora's mother was listed as Ann Carter (N.C.) on the census' and she lived with Calvin Johnson until his death.
Does anyone know who Nora's father was? My problem is that now a family member says that Nora's REAL maiden name was Colman. I am really confused now.
