So glad you responded so quickley, maybe we together can put this Bell mystery in order. I have Elijah (1794) being born in Alabama, if you go to the USGENWEB click on Alabama and the click the county link Madison Co. I believe he and Synthia are listed their as being married in Madison Co. I'm not positive it's Madison but I'm pretty sure it is. I've also read before that some Bell's lived somewhere around St. Clair Alabama also, but I have'nt had a chance to check it out yet. You might be able to find something on them their.
I have all Elijah and Synthia's children including Elijah Jr. and William V, being born in Alabama which would mean they came back to Tennesse sometime after 1824.
I decend from Elijah Jr's brother William V Bell married Sarah Elizabeth Buchanan. Looks like where related!
I know what you mean about the brick wall I have been searching for Burrell Bells father for over a year, and no where close to finding the right one.
