Several had Cherokee connections, some went to Arkansas but returned to Alabama later. Hannah Edwards born 1775 NC married 1801 Jefferson Co, Tn to Wm Baker, through Ky to Madison Co, Al by 1807. Wm Baker Sr. to Al with son/family but returned to SC and was buried in Pickens Co, SC. I am especially interested in any Edwards from Pickens & Laurens Co, SC. North Alabama was home to many early Wm Henry, Henry, Thomas, George Wm, John Henry, and Edward Edwards. They sure did like the mountains of North East Alabama!
