My G Grandfather was James Ferguson. I am trying to find what county he was living in before the War between the States and who his parents were.
He was a member of the 6th East Tennessee Infantry Company A, comprised of men from Blount, Campbell, Clairborne and Knox Counties. He was mustered in April 1862 at the age of 22. This is the place my information on him begins. He died in 1895 in Marion County Tennessee. He married Hannora Mahoney in Blount Co. Ala. Nov. 1871. Any information would be appreciated.
