Hi all!
I have a potential match in the Russell family that I wanted to run you folks. My gg-grandfather was a John Wesley Russell born August 18, 1853 in East TN (according to his death certificate and census reports). No parents were listed on his death certificate. The census does state that both parents were born in TN.
So I was doing some research and came across the Russells of Sequatchie county, TN. I noticed that there was a Henry C. Russell born July 24, 1830 (son of a John Russell born 1787)who had a John Russell born August 1853. Does anyone have any info on this line that might prove or disprove my connection. It seems like a match to me, but I figured I'd see if some has already followed the line down to verify it. Feel free to reply or email. And if this is indeed a match, I'll be glad to post my line for everyone. Thanks!
