GRIMES/HOOPER/SHELBY COUNTY

Some researchers think that Mrs. Mildred _____ Grimes might either be a sister to William and Obadiah Hooper (i.e., she might be Mildred Hooper Grimes) or else a grandmother or maternal aunt. The reasoning is that Mildred is a not so common given name, and that Thomas and Unity Hooper of Hanover had the son William who died 1808 in KY. Among that William's daughters was Mildred, who was born 1781 VA, married in Harrison Co., KY in 1800, had moved to Franklin Co., AL by 1830, and later lived in Shelby Co., TN in 1860.

Any information on the above, will be sincerely appreciated.
