Recent DNA testing proves that descendants of John Taylor and Mary Strawbridge are related to the descendants of Joseph Taylor and Sarah Best. Both families have origins in Martin County. We suspect that William Strawbridge is connected. He shows in the 1810 census of Martin County and also is named in some of the land deeds connected to the Taylor families. Two sons of John Taylor and Mary Strawbridge are Henry Austin Taylor and John Desmond Taylor. Their families settled in Stewart County, Tennessee and spread from there. Please post a reply if you know more about these lines.
