Gap of Descedents of Guillaume du Tremblay

Hi there,
I was recently doing some genealogical research and came back to my Great-Great-Great-ack-forget-it-Grandfather Guillaume du Tremblay who lived around 1167 (he purchased a piece of land from trappists or so then). Some genealogical pages say that his son -Gilles Tremblay- was born in 1389 what seems pretty impossible (~200 years age difference between father and son?!).. May I have overseen one or two generations (and if, who?) or is there a general gap of information about this ancestor of me?
