Hi again Marie,
Thanks once again for helping me before! What I was wondering this time is this.....Is the author J.T. Trowbridge 1827-1916, related to my Phebe in any way? I bought one of his books, 'Cudjo's Cave', in an antique book store and am in the process of reading it. I believe it is a first edition. In the back of the book, there is written a letter by the author to his 'gentle readers'. If you'd like I will send you a copy of the letter. His fathers name was Windsor Stone Trowbridge and mother Rebecca. Thanks once again ! Ellen Smith
