Using the IGI and censuses I've now found out more about Stephen Trowbridge born 1796 in Tollard Royal who was discussed here a couple of years ago.

In the 1851 Wiltshire census I can see the following for Tollard Royal:

TROWBRIDGE Stephen 56 Ag. Lab. Tollard Royal, Wilts.
Mary 69 Winterbourne

but by 1861 he has remarried :
