Hi Anne,

Here's what I was able to find...

Granville Sherwood Trowbridge was born 22 Nov 1878 in Galveston, TX; the son of Stephen Trowbridge and Margaret Ann Barhyte. The family moved to Labette County, KS while Granville was still an infant.

Stephen Trowbridge (b.14 May 1839 in Sparta, NY) married Margaret Ann Barhyte (b.4 Jun 1841 in Erie Co., OH) on 27 Nov 1864 in Lorain Co., OH.

Stephen was the son of Stephen Trowbridge (b.14 Aug 1804 in Preble, NY; d.5 Jan 1895 in Elgin, IL) and Almeda Comstock (b.28 Jan 1808 in Tully, NY; d.21 Apr 1864 in Huron Co., OH).

Stephen Sr. was the son of Seth Trowbridge (1763-1863) m. Lucretia Spoor (1765-1855),
s/o James Trowbridge (1729-c1800) m. Mary Dunning,
s/o Daniel Trowbridge (b.1701 in Fairfield, CT) m. Sarah Seymour,
s/o James Trowbridge (1664-1732) m. Mary Belding,
s/o William Trowbridge (1633-1688) m. Elizabeth Lamberton,
s/o (Immigrant) Thomas Trowbridge (1597-1672) m. Elizabeth Marshall,
s/o John Trowbridge (1570-1649) m. Agnes Prowse,
s/o Thomas Trowbridge (1542-1619) m. Joan Lawrence-Hutchins,
s/o John Trowbridge of Somersetshire
