I am applying for membership in the DAR. I have a "preponderance" of evidence to indicate that Caroline Trowbridge Fewlass was the daughter of Elisha and Ruth Trowbridge, but, according to the Registrar, more information would strengthen my application. My results so far: 1. Fulton Co. deed from Elisha and Ruth selling land to William Fewlass. Does not refer to Wm. as son-in-law; does not mention Caroline. 2. "The Trowbridge Family" genealogy prepared in 1872 lists Caroline as dau of Elisha and Ruth. No proofs given. 3.Marriage record of Caroline Trowbridge and William Fewlass; parents not identified. 4. "History of Ohio Methodist Central Conference" list Elisha, Ruth, Caroline and William all by name as early church members, but does not explain relationships. Any help would be appreciated.
