Was he killed before 1910? Because I do not find him on the 1910 Census, at least, no one married to a Mason or Macie. I also do not find any women named Macie or Mason Turner in 1910. COuld she have remarried or moved out of AL by 1910?
There are 59 Charles Turners, 364 Charlie Turners, and 234 Charley Turners in AL in 1910, of various ages. Several of them reside in Jefferson Co., which is the Birmingham area.
If you have any idea of what county or town he was born in, or any relatives' names, or an approximate death year, I bet I could track down a lot on him. Good luck.
