Mary Thornton - wife - age: 70 b: Scotland
Mary G. Thornton - daug - single - age; 38 b: Urugay Monk Video
Frances Thornton - daug - single - age: 37 b: Urugay Monk Video

His son was Edward Thornton b:19 June 1856 Monte Video as I previously provided you. He died in 1904 see below

There only son Edward (1856 - 1904) a young diplomat of great promise, graduated B.A. from Trinity College Cambridge in 1878. and after serving in Eastern Europe rose to be British minister in Central America, where succumbed to the Climate.

It also says that Edward Thornton snr in this case inherited on the death of his father in 1852 the title of Count de Cassilhas, which had been conferred on his father by King John Vl of Portugal for three lives.

This title went to his Grandson upon Edward snr death.
