Hi,

Just tried your email and it failed.

Yes he was in the Army!! but he was born in Nottingham 1834 William Varney he married Bridget (Don't know where or when) on 1861 census he had one child born 1854 in Cape of Good Hope,one born Dublin and the rest in Portsmouth or Winchester.I haven't found any Birth Certificates or Samuel and Bridgets Marriage Certificate.On 1871 Census Bridget is a Widow (Born Kilmore Rosscommon Ireland) living in Nottingham Samuels Birth Place.Any help and ideas would be most welcome.
