If you're looking for BMDs in England and Wales between about 1910 and 1984, the coverage that is searchable by name is quite sparse. (Okay-ish for parts of 1910-1920, fairly bad after that). So if you put your name into Ancestry or similar, you're unlikely to get anything back. You have to look at the original images for the correct year/quarter.
Just remember not to post information about living persons!
