Thomas Teackle was an ancestor of a friend of mine I did research for: Will of Thomas Teackle written 20 Jan 1695, probate 19 Feb 1695 To daughter Margaret, plantation which was once James Atkinsons' on the Cradock Creek, till my son John comes to the age of 18, but should marry a man who has no land then I give her the said land forever. To daughter Elizabeth, plantation at the head of Muddy Creek. To daugther Catherine plantation at Pungoteague. Son John Teackle to be my heir of all my lands, houses & c. in Virginia or elsewhere not above disposed of, also a silver tankard given me by John Wise. Balance of estate to be divided between all my children. Joseph Milby to be guardian to my son, William Willet to take my daughter Catherine, Nicholas Mellichop Sr. to take my daughter Elizabeth, Jacob Johnson and John Revel to divide estate. Four children and their guardians Executors. The land I have given my daughter Margaret I mean is only for her natural life. Another hint I found published: First Minister of Hungers Parish in Accomack County His father was slain in battle fighting under the banner of Charles 1st. Being persecuted by Cromwell, he came to America in 1656, and settled at Craddock, an estate in Accomac County, where he performed the functions of his sacred calling until his death According to George A Hanson, Old Kent: The Eastern Shore of Maryland, (Clearfield Company. Maryland. 1967) the parents of his wife Margaret Nelson were Robert Nelson of "Gray's Inn" London and Margaret Temple. Good Luck in Your Research Notify Administrator about this message?
