I have both of the Thomas Brackett families you mention. And have not been able to (blood line) connect those in N.H., and Maine, to those in Amelia, Powhatan, Cumberland and Buckingham Counties in Virginia. Brackett is an adopted name for me. I have lived in Maine and Virginia and have done years of research in both places.

However, I do have a N.H. Brackett in Hanover Co., Va.,. That is, if this is your point of interest. He was born in N. H., moved to Virgina before the war of the 1860s. Served here as a teacher, went back to New Eangland -became a doctor, returned & tended the Confederate wounded during the war.
