I am looking for a John Wier, born c1750. I don't know the names of his parents. We know that he lived in Abbeville, SC and married Mary Caldwell Stewart in c1778. John died in the Revolutionary War, and Mary Stewart remarried to a Robert Richey. I see information on the internet that Mary Stewart and Robert Richey may have been from Amelia County. Knowing that groups of people often migrated together, I was hoping that there might be a Wier family in that same area in the mid 1700s. Does this ring any bells with anyone? Many thanks,
