Greensville County, Virginia, marriage records.
1 April 1790 -- John Webb, Jr. and Jane Vincent, consent of Rebecca Vinson. Sur. Charles Webb. Married 6 April by Rev. William Garner. p 19
Notes:
John Webb, Jr. was not the son of John Webb. He was the son of Micajah Webb, John's brother. Charles Webb, however, was the the son of John Webb. John Webb named one of his sons Micajah Webb, Jr.
Rev. William Garner was a Baptist preacher that served in the area.
Regarding the Vincent family -- there is this record.
6 May 1790 -- Michael Vincent and Nancy Wevv. Sur. Micajah Webb. Married 12 May by Rev. William Garner who says Mial Vincent. p. 20
This means that two of Micajah's children married into the Vincent family of Greensville.
Perhaps someone will log on and tell us more about John Webb, Jr. and Jane. Where did they go?
