Richard,

In looking at the records for marriages for Charlotte County, VA. I did not find Samuel having a wife named Sarah. I looked at printed information and original hand written books. What I did find was a Samuel Weatherford married a Lina Chaffin on March 4, 1805 and surety was given by Thomas Cahaffin. Did you know that Charlotte County was formed from Lunenburg County in 1765 and a section of Charlotte was given back to Lunenburg in 1777. Aportion of the county also went to help make up Appomattox County in 1845. Lunenburg may be your best bet for several counties were formed from it.
