Looking for parents/sibs of Manson H Wells and Eleanor F Whitmore. Both were born in Virginia; Manson about 1825 (died 1900 in Raleigh, NC) and Eleanor about 1834 (appeared to have died between 1880 and 1900 in Johnston Co, NC). The earliest that I find them is 1860 on the north side of the Nuese River in Johnston Co, North Carolina.
They had three children:
1. Hollomon Donald (born 1852 in Petersburg, VA, found town on the death certificate of his eldest son, Winston - Hallie was married to Amanda Julie Woodard in Wayne Co, NC)
2. Alamana (or Alamanda)(born about 1857 in VA - married Euguene Raiford in Johhnston, NC)
3. Nelson Divolilica (born 1867 in Johnston Co, NC - married Charlotte 'Nettie' A Finlayson in Johnston, NC)
I may have found Eleanor (Ellen) in 1850 living in Lower, Chesterfield, VA living in the household of Herbert Wells (but the age is listed as 1827). Could Ellen be the child of Holloman Whitmer?? I do not see Manson anywhere in 1850.
Family lore says that they were from Dinwiddie Co.
